Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist plays a vital role in supporting the overall human resources function at Warren Transport, Inc. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of HR-related duties, including recruitment, employee relations, training, and benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Facilitate full-cycle recruitment efforts, including sourcing, evaluating, interviewing, and extending offers to all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees.
  • Employee Onboarding: Conduct new-employee orientations, process new-hire paperwork, and ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
  • HR Administration: Administer various human resource plans and procedures, assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures, and maintain employee handbook, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Employee Support: Assist with employee changes processing, including life events, transfers, terminations, and other employee-related matters.
  • Performance Management: Assist with the preparation of the performance review process, including ongoing support for management.
  • Exit Interviews: Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations to the leadership team for corrective action and continuous improvements.
  • Customer Service: Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests, questions, and responding to employee relation issues, and respond to employment verifications.
  • Record-Keeping: Maintain employee systems of records, including human resource information systems and electronic employee files, to ensure accuracy and legal compliance.
  • Timekeeping and Payroll: Manage the timekeeping system in Kronos, including the administration of the PTO program, and perform benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Payroll Processing: Responsible for payroll processes, including administering payroll reports and summaries, and delivering paystubs to all employees.
  • Employee Engagement: Assist in the efficiency and effectiveness of employee recognition and employee engagement programs, including communications and announcements to staff via email and Warren Intranet.
  • Compliance: Assist with company safety guidelines and C-TPAT compliance, and oversee the workflow and suggest/implement process improvements to the Warren Intranet.

Requirements:

A bachelor's degree and/or equivalent of two to five years' human resource experience.

Constantly in a stationary sitting position and occasionally will move around. Constantly operate a keyboard and mouse and constantly utilize a computer monitor(s). Constantly conversing with internal and external customers in person or via a phone system.
