We are seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective preparation and dispensing of medications.
Responsibilities- Compounds and prepares medications, including high-risk medication processes, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Delivers medications to patient areas and returns unused medications to the pharmacy.
- Documents pharmaceutical activities, including patient billing and quality control requirements.
- Responds to customer requests for assistance with pharmacy services.
- Operates and supports automated dispensing technology.
- Orders, receives, and restocks inventory, and completes expiration date management.
- Assists with training new employees and contributes to process improvement projects.
- Completes regulatory compliance inspections and documentation.
- Registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy (unless enrolled in a PharmD program).
- CPhT certification from PTCB or ExCPT from NHA (unless enrolled in a PharmD program).
- Prior pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
