Part Time Oncology Infusion Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Part Time Oncology Infusion RN to join our team at Danbury Hospital. As a key member of our Chemotherapy Center, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans to ensure safe and effective chemotherapy administration.
- Administer complex chemotherapy treatments, including biologics and immune mediators, in a fast-paced and high-volume outpatient setting.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding chemotherapy treatment, including risks, benefits, and side effects.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and referrals for social work, dietetics, and other support services.
- Document patient care and treatment plans accurately and efficiently using our electronic medical record system.
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Current RN license in the State of Connecticut
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
- BLS certification
- Advanced proficiency in chemotherapy administration, including biologics and immune mediators
This is a part-time position, working 24 hours per week, with 8-hour shifts between 7AM-7PM. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with significant manual skills and motor coordination required.
