Amentum is seeking an Industrial Cleaning Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations at an industrial facility.

The Industrial Cleaning Supervisor will be responsible for providing the cleaning team with daily updates from the previous shift, including any safety communications and the daily stretching program for all staff before the start of each workday. This role includes managing a designated area and ensuring its cleanliness and maintenance.

The supervisor will conduct regular inspections and follow up on any necessary corrective actions for all areas assigned to the cleaning staff during their shift.

Typical Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM; hours may vary based on operational needs.

Salary Range: $45,000+ (salary determined by the applicant's education, experience, skills, and alignment with market data).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness of buildings and facilities, performing heavy cleaning tasks such as floor cleaning, carpet shampooing, wall washing, and trash removal.
  • Notify management of any minor or major repairs needed for building systems.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Adhere to all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards set by the company and regulatory authorities.
  • Remain adaptable and ready to complete all assigned tasks.
  • Conduct area inspections to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and service levels.
  • Lead daily meetings with staff to communicate priorities and review inspection results.
  • Exhibit reliability, strong work ethic, and professional appearance.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to cleaning staff.
  • Perform cleaning tasks in the assigned area as needed.
  • Coordinate coverage in the absence of staff.
  • Address customer complaints and maintain positive relationships.
  • Schedule and oversee janitorial projects, such as floor and carpet maintenance.
  • Understand and implement workplace safety policies and procedures.
  • Determine materials and equipment needs and submit requests for approval.
  • Identify and address staff training needs.
  • Resolve issues and escalate to management when necessary.
  • Manage attendance and punctuality issues with appropriate counseling.
  • Conduct interviews and make hiring recommendations.
  • Inspect cleaning equipment for cleanliness and necessary repairs, reporting issues to management.
  • Drive vehicles as required to perform cleaning tasks at various locations.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years of relevant experience in industrial or commercial cleaning.
  • Knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to obtain security access at client locations.
  • Willingness to work alternative schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain necessary facility/security credentials.
  • Valid driver's license may be required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions and extensive walking.
  • Regularly lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Work efficiently in emergency conditions.
  • Differentiate colors for color-coded cleaning materials.
  • Wear necessary personal protective equipment.
  • Manage job-related stressors effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual candidates (English and Spanish) are preferred.
