Registered Nurse 1 Position

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse 1 to join our team at the NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical supervision to LPNs and direct care staff in all nursing functions and tasks.
- Ensure accurate and efficient medication systems within the home, including inventory, storage, documentation, and follow-up.
- Develop and oversee Nursing Plans of Service as assigned, and train staff on these plans as needed.
- Responsible for timely completion of all nursing assessments and related paperwork, as outlined in the HCBS Waiver regulations.
- Ensure compliance with 483 regulations (ICF), 624 and 633 regulations, nursing policies and procedures, and appropriate and timely documentation.
- Provide ongoing assessment of health status, and provision of advocacy for necessary interventions along with appropriate documentation, in a timely manner.
- Responsible for ensuring implementation of site-specific protocols for emergencies, and provision of emergency evaluations and assistance.
- Must be able to work well with involved family members/advocates.
- Possession of license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State.
- Ability to work well with involved family members/advocates.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
