Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide high-quality medical care to individuals with developmental disabilities in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic medical care and services under the direct supervision of a licensed physician.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination.
- Conduct routine medical assessments and exams, and order diagnostic tests as needed.
- Prescribe medication and treatment regimens as authorized by the New York State Board of Nursing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
- New York State License and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Certification by the New York State Education Department in the appropriate specialty area.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical procedures and treatments.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
