Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at AdventHealth DeLand. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and accurate preparation and delivery of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform medication histories on patients arriving through the emergency department and via direct admission
  • Interview patients to obtain an accurate and thorough medication history
  • Call retail pharmacies, nursing homes, and physicians' offices when medication clarification is required
  • Enter completed medication histories into the electronic medical record
  • Perform all pharmacy technician functions and maintain active proficiency in principle duties
  • Oversee the management of medication inventories and the preparation and delivery of patient-specific medication doses
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license
  • Preferred one year of contemporary hospital experience
