Your contributions will significantly redefine the concepts of Space Domain Awareness and Mission Protection for our Nation.

Skyfire serves as a Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Indications and Warning (I&W) system.

Its mission is to create a comprehensive repository of resident space objects (RSOs), identify RSOs of interest, and supply critical data to ground operators.


Based in Chantilly, VA, the Skyfire team employs:
programmatic strategies, sensor modeling, and systems engineering expertise to deliver this premier SDA I&W system.

What You Will Accomplish:


Independently design and execute test scripts to guarantee that high-quality software is prepared for production release and to validate system modifications.

Generate expert-level test planning documents and requirements. Develop and maintain test control databases.

Conduct solution testing to confirm adherence to business requirements.

Oversee test databases, ensuring their accuracy and timeliness.

Disseminate test data from control databases to development teams to facilitate adequate unit testing.

Create, compile, document, and execute automated test scripts and procedures. Conduct regression testing. Monitor defect status.

Provide quality assurance testing for all systems to ensure the development and distribution of high-quality products.

Assist in the rollout of systems documentation.

Compile lists of defects to be addressed and integrated into future application releases as necessary.

Engage with analysts and programmers regarding formal testing plans, issues, and outcomes.

Develop technical documentation and reports.

Oversee the release management process for all modifications to the baseline IT infrastructure.

Ensure compliance with all processes throughout project lifecycles.

Guarantee that all existing processes are thoroughly documented, propose enhancements, update documentation, and communicate all process changes to relevant stakeholders.


Required Qualifications:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience; OR a Master's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience. An additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

This position necessitates the candidate to possess a minimum of TS/SCI clearance with the capability to obtain a polygraph. The candidate must maintain this clearance.

SAFe Agilist (or equivalent) certification.

Five (5) years of experience in software testing.

Five (5) years of experience in creating test plans and procedures.

Five (5) years of experience in an Agile software development environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in supporting unit, system, interface, integration, and verification testing.

Familiarity with automated testing, DevSecOps, and CI/CD methodologies.

Experience in facilitating customer-facing test events or requirement validation activities.

Experience in a Linux-based environment.

Experience with RDBMS (Postgres, MySQL, etc.).

Experience in creating or maintaining automated software testing scripts/tools (Selenium, Cypress, etc.).

Experience with Jira, Jenkins, Gitlab, Ansible.

Experience in Agile methodologies.

Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud storage solutions (S3, Amazon RDS).

Experience with microservice architecture (Docker container focused).

CompTIA Security + Certification or any other Information Assurance (IA) certification in accordance with DoD M Cyber Workforce Management guidelines for IA Technical (IAT) or IA Manager (IAM) levels.

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
