Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Bridge Technician II to join our team at Webber, LLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our highway infrastructure, including bridges, culverts, and other structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair highway structures, including concrete, structural steel, welding, expansion joints, carpentry, and painting, as required.
  • Create safe Maintenance of Traffic (M.O.T.) control by setting up and removing traffic control devices, including cones, message/arrow boards, temporary signage, and other equipment.
  • Work at heights in bucket trucks, snooper trucks, scaffolding, ladders, and aerial platforms lifts, and be comfortable working in and around water and from boats.
  • Repair and maintain bridge and culvert slopes, berms, drains, and other features using shovels and other hand or power tools and equipment.
  • Control vegetation appearance and growth using lawn mowing equipment, hand or power trimmers, and chemical sprayers, and other methods.
  • Maintain the appearance and functionality of bridge fender systems, including navigational signs, lighting, and all elements of the structural fender systems.
  • Transport crew and equipment to work sites, operating large trucks and specialized motor vehicles and trailers.
  • Be available for emergency response rotations as needed, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • One year of work experience in construction, maintenance, and repair (preferred)
  • CDL, DOT certifications, electrical and welding certifications (highly desirable)
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (required)
Work Environment

The employee will be regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, and will be required to work in tight spaces. The employee will also be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to the job.
