Nashville Classical East is a thriving elementary school that has grown to enroll 550 scholars in Grades K-8. We are committed to providing a joyful, rigorous curriculum and a structured, intentional culture that builds a foundation of knowledge and habits for high school, college, and life.

The Position

We are seeking educators who are dedicated to working hard, having fun, and making history. Our ideal candidate will internalize and execute common curricula, build achievement-oriented cultures, and implement school-wide systems for scholar culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute unit plans, lesson plans, and materials that align with our rigorous curriculum.
  • Build and maintain a positive, achievement-oriented culture among scholars and colleagues.
  • Implement and evaluate school-wide systems for scholar culture, including morning motivation, lunch, recess, and closing circle.
  • Communicate regularly with families and attend quarterly events, such as Report Card Conferences and Cultural Heritage Nights.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, including weekly sessions until 4:30pm.
  • Commit to teaching a daily schedule from 7:17am - 3:37pm.
  • Participate in 3 weeks of summer professional development starting in July, 2024.
