Material Handler

Job Summary:

84 Lumber is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hot Shot Puller to join our team. As a Hot Shot Puller, you will be responsible for accurately and promptly pulling outgoing orders, staging orders, and maintaining a safe and clean lumber yard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading freight, including lumber and building supplies
• Processing and restocking returns
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized lumber yard and caring for equipment
• Shrink control and forklift operation
• Communicating delays or discrepancies to management

Requirements:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts and lift up to 80 pounds
• Maintains lumber yard, including keeping material well organized and safe
• Responds to inquiries from other associates

Work Environment:

This position requires working in a highly precarious place near moving mechanical parts, outdoors, and being exposed to wet, humid, hot, and/or cold weather conditions.

Physical Demands:

This position requires frequent standing, walking, hearing, use of hands and arms, grasping, handling, feeling, climbing, balancing, crawling, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 80 pounds.
