About the Job

84 Lumber is seeking a skilled and reliable Hot Shot Puller to join our team. As a material handler, inventory associate, and forklift operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient processing and staging of orders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading freight, including lumber and building supplies
• Processing and restocking returns
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized lumber yard and caring for equipment
• Shrink control
• Forklift training, certification, and operation
• Communicating delays or discrepancies to management

Requirements:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts and lift up to 80 pounds
• Maintains lumber yard, keeping material well organized and safe
• Respond to inquiries from other associates

Work Environment:

This position requires working in a highly precarious place near moving mechanical parts, outdoors, and being exposed to various weather conditions.

Physical Demands:

This role requires frequent standing, walking, hearing, use of hands and arms, grasping, handling, feeling, climbing, balancing, crawling, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 80 pounds.

Benefits:

• $16.00/hour pay
• Full-time position with a schedule that may include 5am-6pm Monday through Friday and occasional half-day Saturdays
