Job Summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist II to join our team. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will be responsible for operating various types of physiological monitoring equipment, scrubbing at tableside, and assisting physicians with procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exhibit and share knowledge of policies and procedures, acting as a mentor and preceptor to new technologists.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and competency in diagnostic procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, peripheral, neuro, and EP procedures.
  • Operate physiological monitoring systems for diagnostic and interventional studies, accurately entering and recording patient data.
  • Measure and document pressure recordings, keeping accurate logs of events, including medications, hemodynamics, supplies, and procedures performed.
  • Troubleshoot problems and unusual events, reporting them to the supervisor.
  • Assist physicians with procedures, scrubbing at tableside, and taking call independently to assist with acute MI and stroke procedures on unstable patients.
  • Knowledgeable of various stents, their accurate preparation and deployment, as well as thrombectomy procedures.
  • Insert intravascular ultrasound systems, demonstrating competency in their operation and application.
  • Maintain a sterile field while assisting physicians with procedures, adhering to aseptic technique.
  • Operate physiological monitoring systems for diagnostic, EP, neuro, and interventional studies, accurately entering and recording patient data.
  • Manage financial resources, cleaning, stocking rooms, and submitting accurate charges.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and visitors, reflecting CommonSpirit Health's Core Values.
  • Participate in facilitating efficient and effective operations of the Cardiac Cath Lab, including transporting and transferring patients, cleaning rooms, and working to achieve efficient turnover times.
Qualifications
  • Required Education: Associate's Degree
  • Required Experience: 2 years or more of experience
  • Required Licensure and Certifications: CVT or RT, or the combination of ACLS plus demonstrated proficiency in scrubbing CCL procedures; ACLS
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training: Ability to take call and return to the hospital within 30 minutes
