Nephrology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

As a key member of our healthcare team, the Nephrology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will be responsible for directing and supervising nursing services in accordance with governmental and other regulatory standards. This role will oversee nursing care essential to the assessment, promotion, maintenance, and restoration of patients' health and wellness. The successful candidate will oversee patient needs and suggest solutions to patient care problems, working closely with the Medical Director and Practice Manager to interview clinical staff and make recommendations for new hires. Additionally, this role will be responsible for orienting, training, evaluating, and ensuring the development and delivery of nursing education to staff. The ideal candidate will ensure that an acceptable patient flow is achieved, and that staff are professional and maintain confidentiality at all times. This role will also ensure that provider needs are met as they relate to the clinical office, and will track and report all supplies used weekly in collaboration with the Practice Manager.
Minimum Qualifications- NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required (NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice)
- Must have NPI number and be Medicare Enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) OR be eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire (eligibility criteria for NP requires National Certification through AANP or ANCC, and Master's Degree) (eligibility criteria for PA requires graduation from an accredited PA program and National Certification through NCCPA)
- Initial certification must be present or obtained within 6 months of hire
- Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required
- Work Days: M-F

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market, and business considerations. The salary range depicted is based on full-time, 1.0 FTE and would be prorated accordingly for less than 1.0 FTE.
