Position Overview

Role Summary

The Banking Associate I is responsible for providing essential cash handling services to clients while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. This role requires adherence to established teller protocols and cash management limits.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Cash Transactions (80%): Process cash deposits and withdrawals, maintain accurate financial records, prepare ledger entries, and accept loan payments. Ensure the security and accountability of the assigned cash drawer, perform daily reconciliations, and comply with internal audit standards. Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of handling negotiable instruments such as bank drafts, cashier's checks, bonds, and gift cards.
  • Operational Duties (10%): Exhibit basic knowledge of additional responsibilities within the department, including completing monthly certifications, Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), and account analysis. Assist in the opening and closing of vaults in collaboration with a Teller II or supervisor.
  • Customer Engagement (10%): Utilize available resources and product information to enhance customer service and promote bank offerings. Participate actively in all teller and staff meetings.
