Job Title: Substance Abuse Counselor

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at Pinnacle Treatment Centers. As a Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing counseling services to our patients, including individual, family, and group therapy sessions. Your primary responsibility will be to promote an environment of long-term recovery and work collaboratively with our Clinical Director and Executive Director to establish and maintain a therapeutic environment and routine for our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess the counseling needs of our clients and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct assessments and reassessments to determine the appropriate level of care for our clients.
  • Develop and implement discharge/continuum of care plans to ensure our clients receive the necessary support and services.
  • Document all counseling and education services, assessments, reassessments, referrals, and follow-up in our clients' clinical records.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and provide regular updates to our Clinical Director and Executive Director.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to our clients.
  • Provide education and support to our clients and their families on substance abuse and recovery.
  • Act in accordance with Pinnacle Treatment Centers' policies and federal confidentiality laws.

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in a social science discipline with a CSAC or CSAC eligible (minimum requirement)
  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, marriage, and family therapy and one year in the field (preferred)
  • CSAC, LMFT, LPC, LCSW, LSAT, or LRIC license preferred
