Position Overview

Compensation: Our target hiring range is $155,000 - $175,000 plus participation in our Annual Bonus Program with eligibility for a $12,000 bonus. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience and skills.

Location: Our employees have the option to work 100% remotely or choose their days at home and at our office. We host a variety of all-company hybrid meetings and social events. We require anybody working remotely to have a very reliable, high-speed internet connection.

Role Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer who can lead teams, drive technical initiatives, and provide expert guidance at an enterprise level. This role focuses on software architecture, technical strategy, and full-stack engineering execution without management responsibilities.

Key Duties Include:

  • Collaborating with product managers, engineering managers, and other technology leaders to plan and implement technical strategies.
  • Providing technical leadership for a product engineering team.
  • Developing and maintaining software solutions.
  • Contributing to the technical excellence of the Engineering department and introducing innovative ideas and technologies.
  • Identifying technical challenges and proposing effective solutions.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior engineers.
  • Implementing and evolving processes that enhance communication, team empowerment, learning, and innovation.
  • Advocating for Agile methodologies and promoting effective organizational practices.
  • Fostering a collaborative culture aligned with Campminder's core values.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Extensive hands-on experience in Software Engineering.
  • Proven experience in designing and building SaaS solutions.
  • Experience in mentoring software engineers.
  • Background in modernizing legacy software.
  • Proficiency in .NET, JavaScript, and Golang.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders.
  • Excellent workload, goal, and timeline management skills.
