Senior Telecommunications Systems Specialist to enhance our team.

Key Responsibilities and Required Expertise:

  • Oversee and sustain current Lucent Class 5 Electronic Switching System (5ESS) Computerized Telephony System (CTS) setups.
  • Adjust, add, and remove PRI TDM trunking on the 5ESS.
  • Modify call routing for both on-net and off-net communications within the 5ESS.
  • Diagnose Signal System 7 (SS7) connectivity issues with the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).
  • Execute de-growth procedures to eliminate Remote Service Modules (RSM).
  • Resolve TDM PRI complications.
  • Address TDM SS7 challenges.
  • Manage routing issues with PSTN service providers.

Certifications Required:

  • MCSE certification.
  • A+ certification.
  • Network+ certification.
  • CCNA, CCNP, ITIL, CCIE, HP, MCSE, CCVP, CCDP, CATE, R&S certifications.
  • Cisco Voice certifications.
  • Juniper certifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Linux.
  • Familiarity with SIP signaling and call flows.
  • Knowledge of Secure Real-Time Transport Protocol.
  • Understanding of SIP protocols.
  • Proficiency in TCP/IP.
  • Experience with H.323.
  • Knowledge of DNS and DHCP.
  • Experience with RTP.

Job Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI + Full Scope Poly U.S. Government Security clearance is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 11 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree -OR- 9 years of relevant experience with a master's degree.

Additional Skills:

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a knack for networking and building professional relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements:
This position involves frequent sitting, standing, and mobility within an office environment. The employee must be capable of using hands for computer work, reaching, typing, and manipulating objects; lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds; and having the ability to talk, see, and hear.

Work Environment:
Work is conducted in a professional office setting with moderate stress and noise levels. The role requires effective computer use, potentially for extended periods, while accommodating frequent interruptions. Candidates should demonstrate a customer-centric approach and a collaborative mindset.

Schedule: Standard business hours are Monday through Friday. Work hours may vary based on contract needs.
