Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at Northern Nevada Health System. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our acute rehabilitation and adult behavioral health services.
Key Responsibilities- Administer occupational therapy modalities of treatment as supervised by the staff occupational therapist.
- Assist patients in restoring their functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide skilled intervention in our acute care setting to help reduce length of stay, prevent delays in discharges, and decrease the risk of patients discharging to a skilled nursing facility.
- Holds current certificate as Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug Plans.
