About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at Northern Nevada Health System. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our acute rehabilitation services.

Job Summary

The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist to provide skilled intervention in our acute care setting. This includes administering occupational therapy modalities of treatment, administering treatments and physical agents as directed, and assisting patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning.

Responsibilities
  • Administer occupational therapy modalities of treatment as supervised by the staff occupational therapist
  • Administer treatments and physical agents as directed by the staff occupational therapist after the occupational therapist has evaluated the patient
  • Assist patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities
Requirements
  • Nevada COTA license
  • Holds current certificate as Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Current BLS certification
