The Hospitals of Providence is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to lead our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of nursing care, providing leadership, and working collaboratively with medical, ancillary, and support staff to maintain high standards of professional nursing practice.
Job SummaryThe Charge Registered Nurse is a key member of our PCU team, responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced nurse leader to join our team and contribute to the success of our hospital.
Responsibilities- Coordinate the delivery of nursing care to patients in the PCU
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring high standards of professional practice
- Collaborate with medical, ancillary, and support staff to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
- Participate in patient and family teaching, promoting health education and empowerment
- Contribute to the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current RN licensure in the State of Texas or compact state
- CPR Certification
- ACLS certification (obtained within 6 months of employment for RNs with more than 1 year of experience)
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
