School Health Professional

We are seeking a skilled School Health Professional to join our team at Weldon City Schools. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of our students.
Responsibilities:- Health Services Program Coordinator: Develop and implement school health policies, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory statutes and ethical standards of nursing practice.
- Nursing Care Plans: Identify special health care needs of students, develop emergency action plans, and provide individualized health care plans for students requiring invasive procedures or adaptations to their learning environment.
- Counselor and Advocate: Collaborate with other student services team members to prevent health problems from becoming reasons for educational or social failure, and support families in finding treatment services.
- Educator: Participate in developing workshops for teachers on health-related topics, conduct in-service training programs, and provide classroom health instruction to augment existing teaching staff goals.
- A registered nurse with current licensure in North Carolina
- A baccalaureate degree, BSN preferred
- National School Nurse Certification required within three years after hire date
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on years of experience in school health and public health.
