Position Summary

Proof of the Pudding (POP) is dedicated to delivering exceptional food and beverage services at the Georgia International Convention Center. We specialize in high-quality catering and concessions for a variety of events including meetings, conventions, and special occasions. Our venue features a cutting-edge culinary arts center and one of the largest ballrooms in the state.

As a Banquet Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests receive a premium service experience. We are looking for organized, knowledgeable, and professional individuals to provide Front of House support during events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up tables according to specified layouts and standards.
  • Assist in arranging buffet stations, including decorative elements.
  • Serve and clear food and beverages efficiently and courteously.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the work area and collaborate with the banquet captain for seamless service.
  • Manage time effectively to meet event demands.
  • Help with inventory management and event setup and breakdown.
  • Report to the Banquet Captain and undertake tasks as needed for successful event execution.
  • Uphold high standards of personal grooming and hygiene.
Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications

Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year in banquet or Front of House roles.
  • Experience in high-volume catering environments is preferred.
Essential Skills:
  • Strong listening and communication abilities.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation with a commitment to exceeding client expectations.

Work Environment

This role primarily operates within the Georgia International Convention Center, with potential travel to various venues in the Metro Atlanta Area. Responsibilities include event attendance, preparation, setup, and breakdown.

Uniform Standards

Compliance with company uniform guidelines as outlined in the Associate Handbook is required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and navigate event spaces.
  • Capable of bending, lifting, and carrying items weighing up to 30 lbs.
