{"About the Role": "As a CEI Roadway & Bridge Inspector at S&ME, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of transportation projects, including roadways and bridges. Your technical expertise will be essential in overseeing contractor compliance with contracts, plans, and specifications. You will be responsible for observing and inspecting various contractor operations, such as clearing and grubbing, earthmoving, paving, concrete pavement, bridge construction, pipe installation, traffic control, and pavement marking. You will also perform materials sampling and testing, prepare daily inspection reports, and document contractor payments. Additionally, you will conduct DBE and EEO compliance surveys and interact with third-party construction personnel.

This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes and materials, as well as excellent communication and documentation skills. You will work closely with our team to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with contracts, plans, and specifications
* Perform materials sampling and testing to ensure quality and safety
* Prepare daily inspection reports and document contractor payments
* Conduct DBE and EEO compliance surveys
* Interact with third-party construction personnel
* Collaborate with our team to ensure project completion on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards

**Requirements:**

* High school diploma/GED required and 4+ years of highway related construction or inspection experience
* WV TRET Certification or ability to obtain WV TRET certification within 6 months
* Ability to lift between 40-50 lbs
* Math and technical writing skills
