Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Value Stream Optimization Manager to join our team at OPW, a Dover Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the manufacturing, planning, and supply chain activities within the assigned value stream to optimize the customer, business, and employee scorecards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, and review production operations to safely achieve output and quality objectives, monitor expenditures, and forecast resource inputs.
- Use continuous improvement tools and methods to ensure the manufacturing of products has a keen focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Cost.
- Lead, coach, and inspire others to action in order to accomplish multiple objectives with a sense of urgency, while maintaining high morale.
- Provide strong employee relations and leadership skills to acquire and develop talent.
- Responsible for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Production Reporting, Production Scheduling, Continuous Improvement, Training, and Resource Allocation.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or other applicable field, or 10+ years relevant work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- High level of customer focus and ability to maintain a positive attitude at all times.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Lean systems and tools.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Leadership/mentoring skills and prior supervisor experience desired.
- Listen and communicate effectively with production and office employees.
- Must be able to draw conclusions and make fair judgment on employee issues.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times with customers and coworkers.
