Job Title: General Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead the operations of the St. Joseph River Yacht Club. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the club, including food and beverage services, events, and member relations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the annual operating budget of approximately $1.1M, including financial reporting and analysis.
  • Oversee the smooth operation of all club facilities, including the galley, bar, and pool.
  • Supervise a staff of 20-25 permanent and seasonal employees, including bar, kitchen, grounds, and pool staff.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance member engagement and satisfaction.
  • Coordinate marketing and outreach efforts to promote the club's services and attract new members.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a private club setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record of successful personnel and financial management.
  • Ability to execute high-quality special events, including food and beverage service in high-volume events.
  • Familiarity with basic PC software and general ease with technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience managing a private club.
  • Strong working familiarity with professional foodservice.
  • Ability to manage concurrent responsibilities across business sectors.
