Key Responsibilities- Provide project leadership and management functions to support the client's EHS initiatives.
- Design, implement, and execute an agreed-upon service plan in collaboration with the client.
- Monitor and report progress on plan completion as directed.
- Establish, track, and meet milestones for EHS projects.
- Identify barriers and solutions to progress EHS projects.
- Maintain focus for disparate team members with varied objectives towards achieving EHS project goals.
- Report progress to leadership.
- Coordinate and execute industrial safety projects within set organizational procedures and standards.
- Act as an advisor to the client on occupational safety and health issues.
- Provide input to project managers, client relationship managers, or business development staff on potential new EHS support projects.
- Participate in business development activities as directed.
- Candidates must be a 'U.S. Person' as defined by 22 CFR.
- Bachelor's degree required – ideally, in a science or engineering field.
- CSP or CHST certification desired.
- Minimum 10 years of experience required in the environmental health and safety field.
- Experience in manufacturing-&-assembly industries / heavy industry settings a plus.
- Experience in the aerospace and defense or automotive industry a further plus.
- 3+ years of experience interpreting occupational health and safety regulations.
- Possess an extensive knowledge of EHS technical subject matter and how to apply it in real-life settings.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- A great deal of creativity and self-starter initiative is required.
- Ensures compliance with all EHS regulations and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
- Strong technical writing skills, the ability to successfully multi-task, safety awareness, and a good record and understanding of safe work practices.
- Experience with data management and report preparation.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Typically, local/regional only; potential occasional travel nationwide.
- Walking is required for site visits and assessment.
