Job Overview

Hiring for a skilled Welding Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the activities of workers involved in the fabrication and assembly of structural products during the 2nd shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in the fabrication and assembly of structural products during the 2nd shift.
  • Analyze work orders and blueprints to determine materials, operations, and sequence of operations required.
  • Requisition materials and ensure efficient use to meet production goals.
  • Inspect work in progress and finished products to ensure they meet the highest quality standards.
  • Perform welding tasks using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment.
  • Assemble parts by bolting and perform repairs by dismantling, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
  • Operate shop cranes, forklifts, and other equipment as needed to support production.
  • Use sound judgment in managing employee productivity, attendance, and other issues, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Follow and enforce company policies and quality assurance procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of experience in structural fabrication or a related field.
  • Advanced welding capabilities, with qualifications in FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW.
  • Advanced blueprint reading and comprehension skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Ability to operate shop cranes and forklifts.
  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds with assistance and push/pull 50 pounds.
  • Available to work 2nd shift with the ability to work overtime as required.
