Position Title: Engineer, Liner Systems
Location: Englewood, CO
Role Summary:
As a Liner Systems Engineer at DRT Holdings, you will collaborate closely with the Engineering and Service Manager and various engineering teams to design and develop liner systems, controls, and tooling for compound applications used in the rapid production of beverage and food containers. You will manage multiple projects concurrently, guiding them from initial concept through to design approval. Your responsibilities will encompass new system designs, retrofitting existing applications, and developing new product models, including related technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical systems for the production of high-speed liner systems and tooling, covering aspects such as design, layout, application, safety guarding, mechanical transfer, and automation.
- Create detailed assembly and component models for various systems and tooling to ensure efficient assembly, operational effectiveness, and alignment with customer specifications.
- Conduct project work that includes detailed design, completion of assembly drawings, generation of R&R documentation, creation of BOMs, and project handoff documentation.
- Review and verify engineering work for thoroughness and precision.
- Support career development by participating in the physical assembly of liner systems, including field service and troubleshooting as necessary.
- Manage engineering change notices related to customer part modifications, manufacturing, and assembly challenges.
- Demonstrate proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (ProE and Master Cam).
Minimum Qualifications:
A solid foundation in machine design typically acquired through a college degree in engineering or relevant work experience in drafting parts, assemblies, and drawings using GD&T.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) or a minimum of five years of relevant experience in high-speed machine design, metal forming, or tool and die design.
