Job Summary

The Clinical Nursing Supervisor is a key member of the healthcare team at Prime Healthcare, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department at St. Francis Medical Center. This leadership role requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and direct a team of nursing professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement departmental plans to improve patient care and outcomes
  • Supervise and evaluate nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Collaborate with the unit Director and/or Manager to ensure smooth departmental operations
  • Communicate effectively with staff, physicians, and administration to ensure seamless patient care
  • Assist with daily operations, including directing and supervising personnel, ensuring proper use of time, equipment, and staff
Requirements
  • Current and valid California Registered Nurse license
  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintain current
  • Minimum of three years of Charge Nurse or equivalent experience required
  • Based on areas, additional certifications may be required (ACLS, PALS, NRP, CCRN)
