Overview

St. Francis Medical Center is a leading healthcare institution in Southeast Los Angeles, providing high-quality medical care to the community. As a Clinical Nursing Supervisor, you will be part of a dedicated team of professionals committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

The Clinical Nursing Supervisor is responsible for supporting administrative functions in the department, working collaboratively with the unit Director and/or Manager. In their absence, the Clinical Nursing Supervisor may assume administrative responsibilities for the unit. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Preparing, conducting, and overseeing departmental orientation and training of personnel.
  • Communicating with staff, physicians, and administration both verbally and in writing.
  • Ensuring the quality of staff and functions during their shift.
  • Assisting the Department Director in daily operations, directing, supervising, and evaluating personnel.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current and valid California Registered Nurse license.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire and maintenance.
  • A minimum of three years of Charge Nurse or equivalent experience.
  • Additional certifications may be required based on the area of specialization.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $49.43 to $63.70, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation.
