Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute sterile compounding procedures in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards, including USP 797 and USP 800.
  • Ensure ongoing proficiency in sterile compounding techniques.
  • Engage in medication management processes for pharmacy compounding, encompassing the ordering, receiving, and upkeep of medications and supplies.
  • Address and resolve equipment, hardware, and software challenges related to compounding.
  • Participate in the completion and documentation of all cleaning and monitoring tasks associated with sterile compounding, adhering to daily, weekly, and monthly requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to efficiently respond to all compounding requests.
  • Maintain continuous education and practical training in sterile compounding practices.

Required Qualifications:
  • Valid and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician License in Texas.
  • Minimum of 1 year of consistent experience in sterile compounding.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule (8-hour shifts between 7am-7pm on weekdays with rotating weekends).
  • Certification as a Compounded Sterile Preparations Technician (CSPT).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to independently tackle complex problems.
  • Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
Physical Requirements:
  • Capability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours, with scheduled breaks.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Capacity to navigate stairs and ladders.
