Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer with expertise in MECM/SCCM to become an integral part of our team. In this role, you will oversee the maintenance of our standard operating environment (SOE) for desktops and remote devices, engage in software package creation, patch deployment, and much more.

Key Details:

  • Job Type: Full-Time Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote after initial training)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
  • Experience: At least 5 years in a similar role
  • Certifications: Security+ CE preferred; additional certifications such as MCSA, MS Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or ITIL 4 Foundation are advantageous
  • Clearance: Active DoD Top Secret Clearance or higher required

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and engineer Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and Intune, including collection management, application deployment, and custom reporting.
  • Support the sustainment of end-point devices within a large enterprise environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to enhance process efficiency and bolster organizational security.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team and coordinate with support organizations to optimize operations.
  • Maintain the established standard operating environment (SOE) for desktop and remote devices.
  • Plan and execute updates for Windows 10/11 systems, identifying and mitigating risks, and deploying necessary patches and software updates.
  • Manage service requests within the ticketing system and lead problem management efforts to resolve software deployment issues.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse audiences and work collaboratively in both small and large teams.
  • Mentor team members to enhance their troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Create and modify reports using SQL, build software packages, and develop PowerShell scripts for MECM/SCCM client issues.
  • Design, test, and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and deploy necessary drivers and BIOS updates.
  • Utilize Sysprep or MDT processes for image creation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years in IT technical support or systems administration.
  • At least 3 years of experience with MECM/SCCM.
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience in creating images using Sysprep or MDT.
  • Knowledgeable in patching, software deployment, and resolving MECM/SCCM client issues.
  • Familiar with Active Directory and GPO creation.
  • Strong prioritization, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and engage with various levels of leadership.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management systems such as ServiceNow.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of the ITIL framework.

Physical Requirements:

Must be capable of moving or handling equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
