Clinical Nurse Specialist, Oncology

Northside Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Professional Nurse to join our Oncology team as a Triage RN. In this critical role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
- Work closely with the Oncologist to assist in caring for the provider's patients, reviewing patient plans of care, and making necessary referrals.
- Assist with scheduling appointments for treatment, requesting precertification, and reviewing lab values.
- Send prescriptions to retail pharmacies and maintain accurate dose records.
- Offer nurse visits, provide patient education, and triage patient calls and calls from partner facilities.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
- Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training.
- Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
- BSN degree preferred.
- National Certification in Clinical Specialty preferred.
- Other preferred RN attributes are unit specific.
