Family Nurse Practitioner
Reports To:Physician or Chief Medical Officer
FLSA Status:Exempt
SUMMARY:Provides high-quality medical care and treatment to pediatric and adult patients in a primary care clinic setting.
This position may involve remote work requirements and adherence to all current CMS vaccine mandates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Performs thorough physical examinations and preventative health measures within established guidelines and protocols.
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient health care needs.
- Records physical findings and formulates a comprehensive plan and prognosis based on patient condition.
- Collaborates with Medical Director and other health professionals to prepare a comprehensive patient care plan.
- Submits health care plans and goals for periodic review and evaluation by the Medical Director or designee.
- Prescribes or recommends medications, physical therapy, or other forms of treatment as needed.
- Refers patients to specialists for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.
- Participates in employee education and community outreach programs.
- Ensures all credentialing, continuing education requirements for licensure are current.
- Adheres to all current Primary Healthcare clinical protocols and family practice standards of care.
- Participates in required training programs, including HIPAA and Emergency Preparedness.
- Treats staff, providers, visitors, and patients with dignity and respect.
- Contributes to a Patient-Centered Medical Home environment.
Provides supervision and oversight of support staff as indicated.
QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Advanced nursing degree (nurse practitioner) from an accredited college or university.
Minimum two years' experience in supervised medical practice.
LANGUAGE ABILITIES:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general medical information.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions about patient care.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Strong math skills required.
REASONING ABILITY:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions given either written or oral.
Ability to do problem-solving.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Licensed in the State of Georgia.
Board Certification as appropriate.
CPR Certification.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Sitting, standing, walking, stooping, and stretching are usually required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:The noise level in the work environment is usually low.
