Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our Same Day Surgery team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and support to patients undergoing same day surgery procedures
  • Assist with patient preparation, transportation, and recovery
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
  • At least 6 months recent acute care experience
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification of completion of a Nursing Assistant course
  • Proficient in EKG's
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations
