Job Overview

Position Summary:

Deliver technical and logistical assistance to clients for systems and equipment provided by Komline-Sanderson.

Involves significant travel, including potential long-term assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute electrical and mechanical start-up and commissioning activities. Conduct mechanical and electrical inspections. Confirm that equipment is correctly installed and ready for operation by client personnel.
  • Conduct equipment optimization and testing. Document initial operational data accurately.
  • Provide Komline-Sanderson with precise equipment checkout, start-up, and performance documentation. Oversee and coordinate start-up activities across all Komline-Sanderson product lines and external vendors. Ensure system compliance with the customer's performance standards.
  • Design and implement tailored preventive and corrective maintenance strategies.
  • Create and deliver job-specific training programs encompassing both theoretical and practical operational training. Develop instructor guides and lesson plans covering all training aspects related to systems and equipment components supplied by Komline-Sanderson.
  • Review specifications with clients to ensure equipment compliance. Implement operational requirements to guarantee success during equipment trials.
  • Provide field drawing annotations to Komline-Sanderson designers for 'as built' drawing updates. Review 'as built' drawings prior to final approval.
  • Conduct commissioning and start-up processes efficiently to align with the client's schedule.
  • Coordinate the activities of vendors and other personnel on-site.
  • For turn-key systems, conduct site evaluations for the Project Manager. Perform job site inspections with vendors and contractors involved in installation bidding. Supervise all contractors and inspect ongoing work. Provide progress updates to the Project Manager and Client Representative. Develop and maintain punch lists to track outstanding items and deficiencies for project completion.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Preferred college degree or substantial relevant experience and aptitude.
  • A minimum of five years of prior field service experience.
  • Proficient in computer usage. Ideal candidates should have experience with programmable controllers and operator interface terminals.
  • Previous experience with mechanical and electrical schematics, as well as operation and maintenance manuals.

  • Have knowledge of process equipment control panels, motor starters, AC/DC drives, and instrumentation.
