Display Silicon Architect Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Display Silicon Architect to lead the development of cutting-edge display silicon for iPad, MacBook, and iMac. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining display silicon architecture and requirements, working with external vendors and internal design teams, and validating silicon functionality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and generate engineering specifications for display silicon
  • Provide performance trade-offs with system/module teams to determine optimized silicon architecture
  • Manage vendors from specification to design, tape-out, and mass production
  • Manage overall IC design schedules and support cross-functional engineering efforts
  • Promote innovation and new technology to enhance display performance and user experience

Requirements:

  • Experience with whole IC design cycle from specification to tape-out and design validation
  • Analog circuit design experience, including high-speed SERDES transmitter/receiver, operational amplifiers, ADC/DAC, LDO, and reference generator
  • Excellent IC and board-level debugging skills
  • Familiarity with lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers
  • Demonstrated ability to meet aggressive and dynamic work objectives

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in vendor technical management
  • Knowledge in LCD/OLED displays, image quality, or graphics subsystem
