Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the 4A Inpatient Physical Rehabilitation Unit at UPMC St. Margaret. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to our unit's mission to provide exceptional rehabilitation services.

As a Night Program LPN, you will work alongside a close-knit team to foster a positive and encouraging environment that promotes patient progress and satisfaction. Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve desired patient outcomes and improve quality of care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure comprehensive care and promote a positive patient experience.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information and contribute to the development of individualized care plans.


Requirements:
  • Certified as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state where you are practicing or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located.
  • Successful completion of an IV therapy curriculum required within 4 months of hire/transfer.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience as an LPN, preferably in a med/surg/tele or Emergency Department setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a complex environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
