In collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, we strive to be one of the nation's premier academic- based psychiatric care facilities, providing professionals with cutting-edge training and support.

You'll work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, and nights, with opportunities for 12-hour and/or 8-hour shifts. Current openings are available on various units, catering to your area of interest.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $62,000 - $82,000 per year, depending on experience. You'll also be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $12,500, paid time off, and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a member of the healthcare team, exercising sound nursing judgment based on preparation, knowledge, and experience.
  • Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, using focused assessment in settings where nursing takes place.
  • Communicate with licensed professional nurses and healthcare team members to seek guidance when needed.
  • Foster a healing environment by acting within LPN Practice guidelines, including IV administration, and Relationship-Based Care principles.
  • Formulate daily goals and plans of care for patients, considering individual needs in a holistic manner.
  • Patient documentation is comprehensive and promotes communication between caregivers.
  • Establish positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Provide detailed teaching to patients and families, guiding them through the episode of care and transition to another level of care or home.

Requirements

  • SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION AND GRADUATION from a Licensed Practical Nursing Program approved by the State Board of Nursing.
  • 0-2 years of experience.
  • SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION of an IV therapy curriculum required within 4 months of hire/transfer.
  • Takes nurse assignment at the top of LPN license in a med/surg/tele or Emergency Department/behavioral health setting.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and interact appropriately with patients.
  • Able to identify process improvement opportunities to improve patient care.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances

  • Maintain state licensure where practicing or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Act 33 with renewal.
  • Act 34 with renewal.
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal.
