About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our Water business, you will play a critical role in delivering sustainable solutions to ensure water is where it should be and available when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement control systems for water and wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations
  • Develop and maintain process control strategies, automation designs, and construction support services
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide technical services to public and private sector clients
  • Assist with system trouble-shooting and commissioning, start-up, and performance testing
  • Ensure personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering
  • 6 years of experience in instrumentation and controls
  • PE license in Control Systems or Electrical Engineering or the ability to obtain within 18 months of hire date
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and work with disparately located project team members
