Job Title: Tax Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our team at Keller Executive Search. As a Tax Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting our tax practice and working closely with senior attorneys to provide exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues and prepare comprehensive memoranda to support our clients' tax needs.
  • Assist in drafting tax opinions, legal documents, and client correspondence to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support senior attorneys in tax planning and structuring for corporate transactions, analyzing and interpreting tax laws, regulations, and rulings.
  • Help prepare tax-related documents for mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations, and assist in representing clients in tax controversies and disputes with tax authorities.
  • Contribute to the preparation of client presentations and proposals, and stay current with changes in tax legislation and case law.
  • Participate in client meetings and conference calls as needed, and assist in developing and maintaining client relationships.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with previous experience in tax preparation and compliance preferred.
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, with excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with corporate tax, partnership tax, and international tax issues, with familiarity with tax software and legal research tools.
  • Knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles, with experience in the financial services sector a plus.
