Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough conflicts checks for new clients, matters, and potential hires to identify and assess any potential COIs.
  • Investigate and evaluate potential COIs to determine the appropriate course of action, which may include obtaining waivers, disqualification from representation, or informing clients of potential conflicts.
  • Draft and review conflicts waivers, consent agreements, and other documents to ensure compliance with ethical standards and firm policies.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, staff, and the firm's Ethics Committee to resolve conflicts promptly and effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest legal ethics rules and regulations to maintain the firm's compliance.
  • Provide training and guidance to attorneys, staff, and new hires on ethical issues and conflict management procedures.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on conflict management practices and trends within the firm.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Proven experience in legal research and analysis.
  • Expertise in identifying, analyzing, and resolving conflicts of interest.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Thorough understanding of legal ethics rules and regulations.

Compensation: The estimated salary for this role is $125,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience.
