Key Responsibilities
  • Administer multiple state financial aid programs, including the MN Postsecondary Child Care Grant, MN State Grant, MN GI Bill, and the North Star Promise Scholarship program.
  • Manage the application, awarding, and disbursement processes for these programs.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Provide advice and guidance to students, parents, faculty, and staff on financial aid matters.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of financial aid services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, plus two years of experience in financial aid or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field, plus one year of experience in financial aid or a related field.
  • Experience with student information systems, such as ISRS or Work Day.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
