Machinist Specialist

Aero Turbine Inc. is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team in the Engine Shop. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing precision set-up and machining operations on multiple materials using various manual machines.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate manual mills, lathes, and other machines using existing jigs and fixtures to accomplish production machinery functions.
- Perform precision surface grinding and occasionally develop new tooling, jigs, and/or fixtures.
- Follow tool control policy and procedures, including maintenance, preservation, and storage of tools.
- Conduct inspections using precision measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Correctly interpret sketches, blueprints, and engineering details to establish appropriate datums, set ups, and layout methods.
- Operate electronic equipment and systems to perform work efficiently.
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in manual machining or a related field.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Aviation experience is a plus.
- Ability to work with a variety of chemicals and solvents.
- Physical stamina to push/pull items weighing up to or over 100 lbs.
- Excellent reading and writing skills in English.
- Ability to obtain an airport badge (passing a 10-year background check).
A competitive hourly rate of $30.00-$55.00 per hour, depending on experience.
