Labor and Employment Associate (Mid-Level) - San Francisco

Greenberg Traurig, a global law firm, seeks a 3rd–5th year Associate in the Labor & Employment Practice of our San Francisco office.

The ideal candidate will have experience representing employers on both a class and individual basis with respect to wage and hour compliance, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, leaves of absence, employee accommodations, personnel policies, and employment agreements.

Traditional labor skills are not necessary, but are a plus.

Candidates must be in good standing with the CA State Bar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent employers on class and individual basis with respect to wage and hour compliance, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, leaves of absence, employee accommodations, personnel policies, and employment agreements.
  • Work with clients, large and small, from a variety of industries across the country.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide strategic legal advice on all matters concerning the employment relationship.

Requirements:

  • 3rd–5th year Associate in good standing with the CA State Bar.
  • Experience representing employers on both a class and individual basis.
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to take ownership of work and career.

Our skilled Labor & Employment Group has in-depth experience structuring corporate transactions aimed at maximizing managerial flexibility and labor efficiency, negotiating collective bargaining agreements, trying labor arbitrations throughout the country, and assisting employers to lead and manage in ways that best fit their cultures.

The expected pay range for this position is: $225,000 to $355,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.
