Nurse Specialist, Venous Access, Per Diem

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Venous Access Nurse, working on a per diem basis. This role will involve providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver Patient-Centered Care: Provide competent, safe, and compassionate care to patients, adhering to established NYU Langone Health Patient Care and Nursing Standards.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Formulate and implement comprehensive patient-centered plans of care, working collaboratively with healthcare providers and interdisciplinary teams.
- Collect and Document Patient Data: Collect, assess, and document patient healthcare data, prioritizing care based on collected data.
- Implement Interventions: Implement interventions in the coordination of patient care, applying escalation processes as needed.
- Educate Patients and Families: Educate patients and families regarding health status and established plans of care, determining learning needs and implementing educational plans.
- Evaluate Patient Progress: Evaluate patient progress towards expected outcomes, involving patients and families in the evaluation process.
- Participate in Unit Activities: Participate in and contribute to unit activities, providing patient care in a healing, humane, and caring environment.
- Comply with Professional Standards: Comply with unit-based and organizational professional standards, New York State Nurse Practice Act, and regulations of relevant outside agencies.
- Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York: Must be a current Registered Professional Nurse in New York.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
- Basic Life Support Certification: Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association required.
- Fluent Written and Spoken English Language Skills: Fluent written and spoken English language skills required.
