Royal Communications Consultants Inc is a leading provider of communication services. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our data center infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Audit and document existing cabling installations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Audit and document desktop configuration, including patching and power, for existing and proposed user locations.
  • Compile patching schedules as required and utilize Cable Management Software for efficient planning.
  • Power down and disconnect all desktop equipment, ensuring proper labeling and reconnection.
  • Perform IMAC-D activities on all desktop equipment, including peripherals.
  • Carry out Data Wiping activities using software tools.
  • Carry out various types of patching, including voice and data, copper and fiber.
  • Test and troubleshoot Copper and Fibre Cabling.
  • Carry out Copper Voice and Data terminations as required.
  • Survey and update drawings and schedules.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Voice and Data Cabling environment.
  • Familiarity with Moves Adds and Changes environment.
  • Thorough understanding of fibre and copper voice and data cabling, including terminating, test equipment, test parameters, and test techniques.
  • Knowledge of Rack and Stack of Server Hardware and Rack and Stack Systems.
  • Good knowledge of Service Now (and other Process and Asset Management Tools).
  • Good knowledge of Server Patching.
  • Knowledge of LAN / WAN and Active devices.
