Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols set by OSHA and other regulatory bodies, including implementing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Execute preventative maintenance tasks according to the established PM schedule to minimize machine downtime and ensure long-term reliability of equipment.
  • Complex Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair complex machinery breakdowns, including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • PLC and Electrical Systems: Utilize advanced knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot, program, and adjust control systems.
  • Repairs and Upgrades: Conduct repairs and perform upgrades on both production equipment and building facilities.
  • Capital Projects: Contribute to capital projects by applying mechanical expertise and supporting equipment installations, modifications, and enhancements.
  • Machinery Modifications: Execute necessary mechanical modifications and upgrades to improve machine efficiency and production quality.
  • Support Equipment Maintenance: Perform maintenance and repairs on support equipment such as ink jets, strappers, and hand banders.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the maintenance shop and throughout the plant.
Requirements:
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrated ability to disassemble, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment to component level.
  • Safety Focused: Strong commitment to safety practices and standards.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proactive in identifying and resolving issues with machinery and equipment.
  • Team Player: Capable of working well with others, maintaining a strong work ethic, and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
