Key Responsibilities:- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols set by OSHA and other regulatory bodies, including implementing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately.
- Preventative Maintenance: Execute preventative maintenance tasks according to the established PM schedule to minimize machine downtime and ensure long-term reliability of equipment.
- Complex Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair complex machinery breakdowns, including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- PLC and Electrical Systems: Utilize advanced knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot, program, and adjust control systems.
- Repairs and Upgrades: Conduct repairs and perform upgrades on both production equipment and building facilities.
- Capital Projects: Contribute to capital projects by applying mechanical expertise and supporting equipment installations, modifications, and enhancements.
- Machinery Modifications: Execute necessary mechanical modifications and upgrades to improve machine efficiency and production quality.
- Support Equipment Maintenance: Perform maintenance and repairs on support equipment such as ink jets, strappers, and hand banders.
- Housekeeping: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the maintenance shop and throughout the plant.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrated ability to disassemble, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment to component level.
- Safety Focused: Strong commitment to safety practices and standards.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proactive in identifying and resolving issues with machinery and equipment.
- Team Player: Capable of working well with others, maintaining a strong work ethic, and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
