Timmons Group is actively seeking an Electric GIS Analyst II to join our remote team. This role is pivotal in executing a variety of production tasks within the Geospatial Utilities division, focusing on project deliverables and data management.
The successful candidate will be driven by data analysis, aiming to extract insights and foster innovation, with a strong understanding of geospatial transportation data.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Utilizing various GIS software (ESRI ArcGIS) alongside diverse geographic data formats for comprehensive geographic analysis.
- Updating geospatial data as required.
- Creating maps, reports, and presentations to support various GIS and technology initiatives.
- Collaborating effectively with Project Managers and colleagues to fulfill assigned tasks.
- Actively seeking input and clarification from team members to enhance efficiency in executing job responsibilities.
- Troubleshooting issues related to existing GIS applications, tools, and datasets.
- Adopting a process-oriented approach to project tasks.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year institution in GIS, Surveying, Engineering, Geography, Information Systems, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least two years of related work experience is preferred.
- Experience with Esri Utility Networks in the electric sector is advantageous.
- Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Software (Desktop and Extensions, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server).
- Familiarity with ArcFM is a plus.
- Technical expertise in data acquisition, manipulation, and organization, along with the ability to define, plan, and implement analyses and processes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
